So, What Happened?

So, you seem grumpy,

Sad and cynical,

Your speech is rusty,

And thought is critical,

Your heart is sour,

Demeanor difficult,

And oh you call it,

Some pathos inherited,

You find it easy,

Being miserable and fucked,

When all around you just rags on you,

It fills you up,

You’re so mistrusting,

Affection: that you can’t wrap,

Around your bitter tiny ass,

And your shattered idealistic heart,

So, tell me what happened,

When did this become a trend?

When did poking holes at light,

Become synonymous with you?

When did you become this jaded?

When did your heart get this snowed?

When did finding joy in such,

Subtle quips of humor as this,

Turn to this expressionless,

Hunk of darkness mania fits?

I know distrust is in your genes,

A heart to heart may be a reach,

But man,

I hope you find some time,

To sit and fiddle with this line,

What in the fucking hell,

Turned you,

Into this embittered soul?
